This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Studio DA LLC ("Studio DA," "we," "us," or "our") collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In short: we receive personal information when you choose to email us. We use privacy-focused analytics to count visits, without cookies or advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.
Who we are
Studio DA LLC is a 3D design studio based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at studio@da.studio.
Information we collect
Information you send us. When you email us or use our contact form, we receive what you choose to include, such as your name, email address, company, your message, and any attachments such as scans, drawings, or photographs. Attachments can contain personal information, so please include only what is needed.
How the contact form works. The form on this website does not send anything to a server or database. It prepares a message in your own email app, and we receive nothing unless you choose to send that message. Our analytics record that the form was used, but not what you typed into it.
Technical information. Like most websites, when you load a page your browser automatically shares information with the services that deliver the site, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. We do not use this information to identify you.
Usage statistics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service, to understand how this website is used. It records information such as the pages viewed, the referring website, browser and device type, approximate location, and when the contact form or email link is used. It does not use cookies, and we do not use it to identify you.
We do not offer accounts or take payments on this website, and we do not ask for sensitive information such as health data or government identification numbers. Please do not send it to us.
How we use information
We use information to:
- read and reply to your inquiry;
- assess a potential project and prepare a proposal;
- carry out and manage work you engage us to do;
- operate this website, keep it secure, and understand how it is used; and
- keep business records and meet our legal obligations.
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list unless you ask us to. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising pixels or social media trackers. Our analytics service, Umami, does not use cookies.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie to protect the site from malicious traffic. It is not used to track you across websites. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Because we do not track visitors over time or across other websites, this website does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals.
Who we share information with
We share information only as needed to run this website and our business:
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and helps protect it, and processes the technical information described above. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Umami provides the usage statistics described above. See Umami's privacy policy.
- Our email provider stores and delivers the messages you send us.
- Professional advisers, such as lawyers and accountants, may receive information when needed for their services.
- Authorities or other parties may receive information when required by law, or when needed to protect our rights, safety, or property.
- A successor business may receive information if Studio DA is reorganized, merged, or sold.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. Inquiries that do not lead to a project are kept for as long as they remain useful for responding and following up. Project correspondence and files are kept for as long as needed to deliver the work, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations. Technical logs are retained by our providers according to their own policies.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website, email system, or method of storage is completely secure, and email may not be encrypted in transit. If you need to share sensitive or very large files, contact us first so that we can arrange an appropriate way to send them.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it, by emailing studio@da.studio. We may need to confirm your identity, and we may keep information where the law requires it or where we need it for legitimate business records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local privacy law, including the right to appeal our decision on your request. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
Visitors in the EU and UK
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, Studio DA LLC is the controller of your personal information, and we rely on these legal bases under the GDPR and UK GDPR:
- Contract: to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement, and to perform that agreement.
- Legitimate interests: to respond to inquiries, run our business, understand how this website is used, and keep it secure.
- Legal obligation: to meet requirements such as record keeping.
- Consent: where we ask for it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
You have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal information, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive a portable copy of it. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first, so please contact us.
Sending us your information is voluntary, but we cannot respond to an inquiry without it.
International transfers
Studio DA is based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in other countries. These places may have different data protection laws from those where you live. Where transfers of EU or UK personal information require safeguards, we rely on measures such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses offered by our providers. When you choose to email us from outside the United States, your message is sent to us there so that we can respond.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
This website may link to websites and social media platforms we do not control. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on this page.
